I too, struggled with PPD and it was hard!! Everyday like clockwork i put on my “mask” as i entered the world. My father lived with me to help out for the first year of my childs life. I would wake up every morning around 4:45 to nurse and to get the baby and i ready for the day. So, by 6a.m. (when my dad got up) I’d have to “put on my mask”….and i faked it all day until i was back home and finally in my bed alone….. Post Partum Depression is SCARY!! Deep down, you know something is wrong but, as a black woman, yoyre ashamed to ask for help…. Please, ASK FOR HELP!! You are sooooo not alone
